Who is Gavan Knox?
Gavan Knox is a Senior Teacher of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Engineering — a University researcher, inventor, and father of six. He is the Director of Hydrogen Fuel Systems Pty Ltd and Kitech Hydrogen (Singapore registered), and has spent over 15 years developing, testing and refining his patented HHO hydrogen generator technology.
His background spans Chemical Engineering and Metallurgy at University level, which led to the original development of the Gen 10 system in 2009 for precipitating precious metals from catalytic converters. The technology was progressively refined into the on-vehicle fuel saving and emissions reduction systems available today.
The Company
Hydrogen Fuel Systems Australia (HFS) was founded in 2007 and holds Australian Patent 2012261768. HFS operates in a joint venture with Kitech Hydrogen to produce large-scale commercial systems for international markets.
HFS is based in Perth, Western Australia, with authorised installers and distributors across Australia, and international partners in Singapore and beyond.
TV Interview — 2018
In 2018, Gavan Knox was interviewed on Australian television about hydrogen fuel systems and their role in reducing carbon dioxide emissions. The interview covers the science behind HHO technology, real-world results from Australian truck operators, and the future of hydrogen in transport.
Watch the InterviewImportant Safety Note for Trucks
For trucks with air compressors and air brakes: The air compressor normally draws air directly from after the primary/secondary air filter assembly. This port MUST be capped off, and an alternative air intake line with filter installed. Failure to do this risks pressurising accumulators with a hydrogen/air mixture.
